Olufemi Adedokun is an experienced procurement and contracting specialist, an Entrepreneur and Business Consultant. He is a Graduate of Insurance (1994) and MBA (1999) from the University of Lagos. In 2006, he was awarded the prestigious Chevening Scholarship by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom to study for the degree of MBus, Global Business Analysis at the Alliance Manchester Business School (MBS), University of Manchester, UK. He graduated on the order of merit in November 2007. While at MBS, he was elected Representative for his cohort of 47 students from Asia, Africa, Europe, Canada and South America. In this role, he represented Students on the Post Graduate Taught Committee, the Faculty and the Board of Manchester Business School.   A member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, UK Olufemi is a certified ISO 21502 Senior Lead Project Manager and PECB (Professional Evaluation and Certification Board) certified Trainer.   Olufemi has work experience in Africa and Europe across Insurance, Banking as well as Oil and Gas industries. He is proficient in developing and implementing procurement and contracting strategies, negotiating strategic contracts, creating value to improve Organization’s profitability; leading teams, influencing, motivating and empowering others to achieve break-through performances. Some of the Organizations he has worked include Leadway Assurance, Standard Alliance Insurance, Continental Trust Bank (later acquired by the UBA Group) and Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Ltd. (SPDC). He also had a stint as Consultant Intern with United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Manchester UK where he executed a consultancy project on “Analysis of Global Automotive Supply Chain in the Northwest Region of England” for UNIDO in partnership with North West Regional Development Agency (NWDA), England. The output of the project, which was part of his three-month internship with UNIDO, has provided underlying fundamentals required for policy initiatives and further research on strategies for enhancing global economic competitiveness of the automotive industry in the region. He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Insurance, Nigeria and Member, Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (U.K).   While working at Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Ltd. (SPDC), he held various roles in the procurement and contracting function. These include Category Manager, Engineering and Maintenance for the SHELL Production Directorate and Category Manager, Drilling Rigs. He has managed various commodities and categories with contract spend in excess of $2 billion. These commodities and categories include:  Production Facilities Management, Hire of Drilling Rigs and tools, Well Construction (Directional Drilling, Electronic Wireline & FEWD), Integrated Wells Completion Services, Production Facilities Management, IT (Hardware and Software).   In furtherance of his passion for exploiting his entrepreneurial competences across various economies, he voluntarily elected early retirement from SPDC in May 2008. He is the founder and C.E.O of Mesopetra Limited. As part of his commitment to help people live life to its fullness, he helps facilitate Trauma healing for the brokenhearted. He is trained an accredited by the Trauma Healing Institute USA as: Healing Group Facilitator (Classic Advance Trauma Healing, Audio Trauma Healing) and Training Facilitator (Classic Trauma Healing)
