I hold a PhD in Accountancy from North-West University South Africa, and an MSc degree in Accounting from Robert Gordon University Aberdeen (United Kingdom). I am a full member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU), and a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) USA. Currently, am the Head Finance and Business Operations at the Deposit Protection Fund of Uganda, responsible for the financial planning, accounting & reporting and technical aspects of deposit insurance in the Fund. I also cordinate the implementation of the Fund’s strategy and risk management framework. Previously, I worked as Manager Accounts at Uganda National Roads Authority and as Auditor in the Office of the Auditor General. In my working experience, I have been able to develop strong interpersonal, leadership, financial management, accounting, auditing, financial analysis, risk management and fraud examination skills. I have undertaken several certificates and trainings in leadership, research, management, procurement audit, Public Private Infrastructure Partnerships, Project finance, financial analysis, Deposit Insurance and computer packages such as Microsoft Office, Tally, Bank master, Branch Power, SAP Financials, Teammate audit tool, Integrated Financial Management System, Oracle Financials and Excel Active Data Analysis Tool.
