Over the years, Fatai served as a member of several ad-hoc committees to proffer solutions to both technical and management problems. Back in his school days, Fatai received academic awards for excellent performances. He also received commendations from places of work for successful project completion and exemplary performance. He travelled far and wide and attended several courses locally and abroad.
