2014 PECB Partner Event in Malta (January 6th - 10th 2014)

PECB is delighted to announce that the 2014 PECB Partner Event will be held in Malta on January 6th-10th. For this event, we will be launching our new Certified Lead Forensics Examiner (CLFE) course.

This certified five-day course will cover the following topics:

1- Scientific and legal principles of computer forensics
2- Computer forensics operations fundamentals
3- Forensics: computer hardware structure
4- Forensics: operating systems and file structure
5- Forensics: network, cloud and virtual environments
6- Forensics: mobile devices
7- Forensics: operation tools and software
8- Examination, acquisition and preservation of electronic evidence

This course is completed by a three-hour exam on the last day (Friday) that is a requirement for the credential of Certified Lead Forensics Examiner (CLFE). This certification is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

Attending partners may also take any PECB exam free of charge on Friday afternoon (January 10th).

This training course is free for PECB Partners and trainers. So are the exam and the certification. However, attendees will need to pay $1,400 for the forensics kits that is provided to every participants, which includes a laptop computer, forensics software tools and forensics equipment. This is what the forensics costs and PECB is not making any profit with these forensics kits. It is possible to attend the training course without the forensics kit, but the learning experience will not be the same.

The cost of this course is USD 3,000 for participants who are not under PECB Partners or Trainers and this includes the training course, the exam, the certification and a complete forensics kit that participants will be able to use to perform forensics mandates. A 20% discount is offered for participants who register before November 1st 2013.

The course will be held at the Westin Dragonara Resort. PECB has negotiated a special rate of 100 Euros per night for a Deluxe Twin/Double with Sea view.
