ISO 14001 Lead Implementer equips participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to implement, manage, and maintain an environmental management system (EMS) based on ISO 14001 within an organization.
By attending this training course, you will gain knowledge to help organizations in proactively preventing and mitigating adverse environmental impacts, addressing environmental challenges, and demonstrating commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
Through this training, you will be able to support the development and implementation of environmental processes and controls that reduce environmental risks, improve operational practices, and promote continual improvement.
Upon completion of the course, you can take the certification exam. If you pass successfully, you may apply for the “PECB Certified ISO 14001 Lead Implementer” credential. This internationally recognized certification validates your professional capabilities and competence in implementing an EMS in accordance with ISO 14001 requirements.

To attend this training course, participants are required to have a basic knowledge of ISO management system standards, a general understanding of ISO 14001, and awareness of the management system implementation principles.
Day 1: Introduction to ISO 14001 and initiation of an EMS implementation
Day 2: Implementation plan of an EMS
Day 3: Implementation of an EMS
Day 4: EMS monitoring, continual improvement, and preparation for the certification audit
Day 5: Certification exam
The “PECB ISO 14001 Lead Implementer” exam fully meets the PECB Examination and Certification Program (ECP) requirements. It covers the following competency domains:
Domain 1: Fundamental principles and concepts of an environmental management system
Domain 2: Initiation of the EMS implementation
Domain 3: Planning of an EMS implementation based on ISO 14001
Domain 4: Implementation of an EMS based on ISO 14001
Domain 5: Monitoring and measurement of an EMS based on ISO 14001
Domain 6: Continual improvement of an EMS based on ISO 14001
Domain 7: Preparation for an EMS certification audit
