ISO 22000 Lead Implementer

The ISO 22000 Lead Implementer training course equips participants with the knowledge and skills needed to implement, manage, and maintain a food safety management system (FSMS) based on ISO 22000.

Internationally recognized, the PECB Certified ISO 22000 Lead Implementer certificate validates your professional capabilities in implementing and managing an FSMS based on the requirements of ISO 22000.

  3. Initiate and plan the implementation of an FSMS based on ISO 22000, by utilizing PECB’s IMS2 Methodology and other best practices
  4. Apply best practices to support the ongoing effectiveness and improvement of the FSMS based on ISO 22000
  5. Interpret the requirements for an ISO 22000 certification audit

Prerequisites

The main requirements for participating in this training course are a basic knowledge of ISO management system standards and a general understanding of ISO 22000.

Day 1: Introduction to ISO 22000 and initiation of an FSMS implementation
Day 2: Implementation plan of an FSMS
Day 3: Implementation of an FSMS
Day 4: FSMS monitoring, continual improvement, and preparation for the certification audit
Day 5: Certification exam

The “PECB ISO 22000 Lead Implementer ” exam fully meets the PECB Examination and Certification Program (ECP) requirements. It covers the following competency domains:

Domain 1: Fundamental principles and concepts of a food safety management system

Domain 2: Initiation of the FSMS implementation

Domain 3: Planning of an FSMS implementation based on ISO 22000

Domain 4: Implementation of an FSMS based on ISO 22000

Domain 5: Monitoring and measurement of an FSMS based on ISO 22000

Domain 6: Continual improvement of an FSMS based on ISO 22000

Domain 7: Preparation for an FSMS certification audit

After passing the exam, you can apply for one of the credentials in the table below. You will receive a certificate once you fulfill all the requirements of the selected credential.

The FSMS activities should follow best practices and include the following:

  1. Drafting an FSMS implementation business case
  2. Managing an FSMS implementation project
  3. Implementing the FSMS
  4. Managing documented information
  5. Implementing corrective actions
  6. Monitoring the FSMS performance
  7. Managing an FSMS implementation team

  • Certificate and examination fees are included in the price of the training course.
  • Participants will receive more than 450 pages of comprehensive training materials, including practical examples, exercises, and quizzes.
  • Participants who have attended the training course will receive an attestation of course completion worth 31 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) credits.
  • Candidates who have completed the training course with one of our partners and failed the first exam attempt are eligible to retake the exam for free within a 12-month period from the course completion date, because the fee paid for the training course includes a first exam attempt and one retake. Otherwise, retake fees apply.
