Lead Crisis Manager

Why Should You Attend?

This training course enables participants to develop the competence needed to plan, establish, maintain, review, and improve an organization’s crisis management capability in line with ISO 22361 and recognized best practices.

Prerequisites

Participants who want to attend this training course should have a fundamental understanding of crisis management concepts, framework, and process.

Day 1: Introduction to ISO 22361 and crisis management

Day 2: Crisis management framework and crisis anticipation

Day 3: Crisis prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery

Day 4: Practical exercises

Day 5: Certification exam

The “PECB Lead Crisis Manager” exam fully meets the PECB Examination and Certification Program (ECP) requirements. It covers the following competency domains:

Domain 1: Fundamental concepts and principles of crisis management

Domain 2: Establishing the crisis management framework

Domain 3: Crisis management prevention and preparedness

Domain 4: Crisis management response and recovery

After passing the exam, you can apply for one of the credentials in the table below. You will receive a certificate once you fulfill all the requirements of the selected credential.

The certification requirements for PECB Certified Lead Crisis Manager are:

The professional experience activities should follow best practices and include the following:

  1. Drafting a crisis management plan
  2. Developing a crisis management policy
  3. Conducting risk assessment
  4. Controlling crisis response
  5. Managing information and documentation
  6. Managing the impact of a crisis
  7. Managing a crisis management team

  • For candidates who complete a training, eLearning, or self-study course delivered by a PECB Partner, the training fee includes the first exam attempt, one free retake, the certification application fee, and the first year of the Annual Maintenance Fee (AMF). This cycle must be completed within 12 months from the course completion date for instructor-led training, or within 12 months from the purchase date for self-study and eLearning formats.
  • Candidates will receive more than 450 pages of comprehensive training materials, including practical examples, exercises, and quizzes.
  • An attestation of course completion worth 31 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) credits will be awarded to the candidate.
  • If the initial exam is not passed, a free retake may be taken within 12 months of the course completion date. For self-study or eLearning courses, the 12-month period is calculated from the date of purchase.
