Shariq ARIF is an Independent Data Protection Consultant and former Grant Thornton Advisory Director. He co-created the Data Protection Advisory practice at Grant Thornton Advisory Luxembourg in 2017. Shariq co-led Grant Thornton Audit and Assurance’s application to become a GDPR-CARPA certification body in 2023. Shariq directed all external DPO mandates for Grant Thornton Advisory (Luxembourg) data protection clients whilst leading this activity. Currently, Shariq provides DPO Support services as an Independent Consultant. In 2024 Shariq left Grant Thornton to become an Independent Consultant and Co-founder of a RegTech GenAI Start-up.
