The ISO 37001 Foundation training course provides participants with a comprehensive introduction to the fundamental concepts and requirements of an anti-bribery management system – ABMS based on ISO 37001:2025. It provides an overview of the structure of the standard, including its principles, clauses, and key elements.
After completing this training course, you can take the exam and apply for the “PECB Certificate Holder in ISO 37001 Foundation” credential. A PECB Foundation certificate shows you understand the fundamental methodologies and requirements for an ABMS based on ISO 37001.
This training course is designed to help participants understand the fundamental concepts, principles, and requirements of an anti-bribery management system – ABMS based on ISO 37001:2025.
Participants will explore how risk assessments and due diligence support the identification and mitigation of bribery risks, and how both financial and non-financial controls contribute to the overall effectiveness of the ABMS. The course also covers essential practices such as ongoing monitoring, internal audits, reporting mechanisms, and continual improvement efforts to sustain long-term compliance.
Additionally, this course highlights the key changes in the 2025 edition of the standard. These include the integration of climate change considerations into bribery risk assessments, increased emphasis on fostering a strong compliance culture, clarification of the scope and responsibilities of the anti-bribery function, and the introduction of specific references to conflicts of interest.

Day 1: Introduction to the anti-bribery management system and ISO 37001
Day 2: ABMS and the certificate exam
The “PECB ISO 37001 Foundation” exam fully meets all the PECB Examination and Certification Program (ECP) requirements. It covers the following competency domains:
Domain 1: Fundamental principles and concepts of an anti-bribery management system – ABMS
Domain 2: ISO 37001 requirements for an ABMS

First, a candidate must complete the PECB ISO 37001 Foundation training course. Then, they must successfully complete and pass the exam to be able to apply for the “PECB Certificate Holder in ISO 37001 Foundation” certificate.
This is an entry-level credential, and there are no prerequisites for professional or management system project experience. Thus, completing the training course, passing the exam, and applying for the certificate are the only certificate program requisites that certificate holders must meet before obtaining the certificate.
