Presenters:

Stein Arve Jacobsen Mollerhaug – Senior Cybersecurity Advisor and a PECB Platinum Partne

Stein A. J. Møllerhaug has been working with information security since 1986—long before “cybersecurity” became a common term—after assisting one of his customers through an early hacking incident. Starting his career with Digital Equipment Corporation in 1981, he rose to the role of Principal Advisor and later served in the European Security Program Office in Newbury, UK. Over the following decades he has held senior technical and management positions with Compaq, Symantec, Watchcom Security Group, and Steria, before founding his own consultancy.

Today, Stein leads his independent security practice, combining nearly four decades of experience in programming, incident response, risk management, OT security, and ISO/IEC 27001 auditing. In recent years, his focus has expanded to AI systems and trust frameworks, integrating classical information security principles with emerging technology governance.

A certified ISO/IEC 27001 Master, ISO/IEC 27005 Lead Risk Manager, ISA/IEC 62443 Senior Implementer, SSCP, CSSLP, CCSP, and CISSP, Stein is authorized to teach all these programs through PECB and (ISC)². He also authored the official ISA/IEC 62443 course for PECB.

Beyond cybersecurity, Stein is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer with over 2,500 dives—experience that, as he says, “teaches risk assessment the hard way.” He is also the published author of four crime novels about computer crime.
