We are happy to announce that on May 30, 2023, we launched the new version of the PECB Exams Application. To enhance your navigation experience, our team has been diligently working on creating a more user-friendly version of the application.

Here are the updates that have been introduced in the new version:

• Redesigned User Interface: We have completely revamped the graphical user interface, providing a more visually appealing design with enhanced annotation features, offering an improved user experience.
• Operating System Compatibility: The new application version will be fully compatible with Windows and Mac devices, ensuring a seamless experience across both platforms.
• Simplified Webcam Setup: We have eliminated the need for specific ports to be opened to access the candidate’s webcam, making the setup process more streamlined.
• Use of Additional Monitors (displays): To ensure proper troubleshooting during online exams, the new application will restrict the exam display to the primary monitor if multiple displays are connected to a single machine. The user will be informed and prevented from moving forward. Secondary monitors will remain inoperable.
• Removal of Examination Profile Submission: Candidates will be required to show the ID document to the invigilator on the exam day during the verification process. If the visibility of the document is not clear, candidates will be able to upload a copy of the document directly in the PECB Exams App.
• Additional Personal Information: Candidates will be prompted to provide personal information, such as emergency contact details, any special medical conditions, and native speaker status, ensuring accurate records for every online exam attempt. These fields will be required to be completed every time a candidate enters an online exam.
• Seamless Training Course Navigation: Switching between the PECB Exams and Training Course sections will now be more efficient, as the application will remember the last question or slide accessed, allowing for a smoother transition.
• Mark for Review Functionality: Questions marked for review (highlighted in orange) will retain their status until the candidate selects their final answer and clicks on “Save and Continue”, enabling a comprehensive review process.
• Improved Internet Connectivity: In case of Internet connection loss, the application will automatically shut off but preserve the candidate’s selected answers, ensuring data integrity even under challenging network conditions.

Next updates to be introduced:

• Streamlined Exam Scheduling: With the new version, candidates will be able to schedule their exams using a coupon code and take the exam without requiring any further schedule approval, providing more flexibility and convenience.

These enhancements aim to provide an enhanced exam experience for all candidates who choose to take online exams with PECB, making their journey more seamless and enjoyable.
