Joel is an experienced PECB Certfied ISO 31000:2018, Risk Trainer/Lead Risk Manager with diverse experince in enterprise risk management training, PECB Certified ISO 22301:2019, Business continuity management - Lead Implementer and PECB Certified ISO 9001:2015, Quality management systems - Lead Auditor. I have supported many institutions by facilitating trainings, shared practical experience and facilitated development of risk management policies, establishment of risk registers, incorporated risk assessment in startegic plan formulation, conducted Business Impact Analysis and developed Business continuity plans for various instituitons. I further draw my expertise in risk management from my current role as Principal Risk Officer at Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA) and prior assignment as Senior Risk Management Officer at Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) where i streamlined risk management as part of GRC to support decision making at high level and as a key process to supprt operational activities and project specific tasks.  My academic background in Accounting and Economics (Certified Public Accountant, Master of Arts in Economic Policy & Planning and Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Economics) is also relevant for risk management given it has enabled me to appreciate issues about strategic planning, balance score card, financial managment, Governace, budgeting, auditing, probability theory, macro economic indicators, code of ethics, compliance management, system integrity assessment, fraud detection & prevention, stakeholder analysis among others.
