This year’s Conference is over. But the memories of its panel discussions, pre-training courses, gala night, meals and chatting among colleagues and friends will stay, at least until the next conference.
Pre-Training Courses
Two Pre-Conference Training Courses were held at the PECB Insights Conference 2019. One of the Pre-Conference Training Course was the Certified Management Systems Training Course (CMSA), which enables the participants – upon fulfilling the necessary criteria – to conduct audits of management systems on behalf of PECB.
PECB hosted 32 professionals from around the world, who were the first to attend the ISO/IEC 27701 Lead Implementer Training Course. The ISO standard on Privacy Information Management was published in August 2019 and PECB is among the first international certification bodies to offer this training and certification. It is a complementary standard to ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27002 and it finally covers the privacy space of these information security management systems.
Panel Discussions
The PECB Insights Conference 2019 theme was Information Security and Risk Management. The 150+ participants from all over the world engaged in the 16 discussion panels which were hosted by 70 high-profile professionals and moderated by 16 moderators. These sessions were the substance of the conference and included a variety of themes and topics, from Risk Management, to Blockchain, Information Security, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things and so on.

The Gala Night
The crown jewel of celebrating achievements and success at the PECB Insights Conference 2019 was the Gala Night. During this solemn dinner, the individuals and organizations that have gone the extra mile and have represented PECB in the best of ways, received their much deserved awards.
